IN HIS SPEECH, Vice-Rector IV Unimed Prof. Manihar Situmorang stated that “Faculty Ambassador are expected to bridge the need of Collaboration and International Affairs between Faculties and university partners through the office of the Vice-Rector for Planning Cooperation and Public Relations. The role of cooperation is very important to support MBKM in accordance with Permendikbud No. 3 of 2020, namely learning outside the Study Program is carried out based on a cooperation agreement between PT and PT or Non-PT and collaborative activities support IKU 2, IKU 6, and IKU 8. Partners are made to support MBKM. Thus, we can strengthen the competitiveness of graduates, strengthen networks between PT and Non-PT Partners, increase national insight, promote university excellence and strengthen the role of cooperation as national adhesive. so now our study program will have an important role in introducing our advantages to partners,”.

More Prof. Manihar explained that the FA’s tasks are to follow up on cooperation between domestic and foreign partners and implementation activities down to the study program level, support lecturer scientific activities, international coordination activities with the WR4 office, support the organization of international classes. 6 and 8.

Head of KUI Maya Oktora added, “The word FA has its own meaning, namely promoting universities with partners better than the WR4 office. Currently, a meeting will be held with France soon, so the FA will promote universities and look for universities by student competencies. Our students are starting to be more interested in the MBKM program, one of which is IISMA 2021, a scholarship scheme from the Indonesian government to fund Indonesian students to take mobility programs at well-known universities abroad. At this time, 3 Unimed students have successfully passed this program. They managed to qualify for the University of Twente, Netherlands, University of Padua, Italy, and University of Korea, South Korea. Therefore, we expect that the presence of FA can help facilitate the dissemination of cooperation programs on campus to attract the attention of students.

Based on the Decree of the Rector of UNIMED, the names of the delegated Faculty Ambassadors are Rifqi Aufan, S.Pd., M.Pd (FIK), Dr. eng. Jubaidah, M.Si (FMIPA) Rangga Restu Prayogo, S.AB., M.Si (FE), Shofia Mawaddah S.Psi., M.Sc. (FIP), Meilinda Suriani Harefa, S.Pd., M.Sc. (FIS), Winda Setiasari, SS., M. Hum., Ph.D (FBS), Wisnu Prayogo, ST., MT. (FT), Mangaratua M Simanjorang, M.Pd., Ph.D (Postgraduate). The Faculty Ambassadors who have been prepared by each of these faculties will later become a bridge in building collaboration between study programs and world-class partners.
